My wife and I used Steve Finger to build our home back in 2014. The process from choosing finishes and meeting with vendors was quite enjoyable as Steve took the stress out of it. We always had direct communication with him and all the work was done in a timely manner. Its obvious Steve is passionate about his work as he takes great pride in his projects. Working with Steve was a very good experience. While building our house, he was very flexible in providing options on the allowances that really allowed us to customize the home to be exactly what was best for us. He was able to make several adjustments to the original plans and was very transparent about the cost impact (up or down). After moving in he continued to be helpful even though there was no further obligation for him to pick up the phone when we called. Class act. My husband and I worked with Steve to build our current home (3,400 sq. ft. home in Oak Forest). This was our first experience building a house and Steve made the process very easy. Steve was always available to meet us at the construction site to go over our selections, changes and answer the many questions we had throughout the process. Steve was also very flexible allowing us to purchase some of the finishing items on our own and applying the left over allowance towards other upgrades. Building a home was not an easy task as there are many decisions that need to be made, but Steve made the process enjoyable and we just absolutely love the finished product.

He will always come through to make sure you are extremely satisfied with your home. The style, layout, and materials used are above and beyond your typical “Cookie Cutter” home building companies. Between our hectic schedules and Steve’s and his teams the communication could get hectic at times, which is understandable. But there was always communication! Which is huge when building a home. We were in constant contact about updates, delay’s, etc…Never caught off guard. We would definitely build again with Steven Finger Custom Homes.
